Jef has been a valuable member of our customer service team for 5 months now.
With a good pace, he has quickly mastered the ins and outs of the job: assisting customers with questions and solving problems arising from specific orders.
What appeals to you most about your job?
The variety is really great.
I regularly switch between my desk and the warehouse.
Both taking phone calls and in the warehouse solving any packages with problems give me energy.
What does your day look like?
I start my day with an invigorating shower.
Then I jump on my bike with my headphones on, usually playing my favorite podcast by Aly & Fila.
Progressive Techno & House music from that podcast relaxes me and energizes me at the same time.
Upon arrival, I first review the open tickets and immediately tackle the ones I can handle quickly.
Then I go into the warehouse to resolve the packages that caused problems during the evening shift.
This is a restful time, because between 8:30 and 9:30 a.m., no calls come in and I can fully focus on my work. g concentrate on warehouse work.
Then I work with Jurgen & Cynthia on the remaining support tickets and phone calls throughout the day.
What was your previous job?
I was previously working in my brother’s business as a funeral director.
When it turned out that I was working almost 24/7, I decided to look for another job or even become self-employed.
When I saw the job opening at ShopWeDo, I immediately felt a click and after a few rounds of applications, I was hired.
You told me that the movie John Wick 4 is really worth seeing because of the unique way it was filmed.
Do you have another great tip?
Try adding some balsamic vinegar to your spaghetti bolognese.
Start with a small splash and add more later to taste.
For me, quite a bit goes in by now (laughs).
